VP, MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS – AMERICAS

Emphasys Software is seeking a VP, Mergers & Acquisitions – Americas to join our team in Miami, FL. We’re looking for an exceptional individual – someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, that can play a significant role in our acquisition integration and be a great source of information to our current and future leaders.

 

KEY ROLES AND OBJECTIVES

  1. Market Analysis
    1. Assess current and prospective markets
    2. Present factual information for the analysis
    3. Keep an ongoing list of potential markets and keep updating it (keep it frequent)
  2. Lead Management & Outreach
    1. Manage and improve on market tracking and reporting system. No one should waste time wondering what the status is.
    2. Manage and improve on our continuous outreach process. Move as many tasks to automatic as possible. This how we are marketing ourselves to other companies.
    3. Work with General Managers to have a consistent lead funnel to existing markets
  3. Communication
    1. Ensure people are aware of the process and manage all stakeholders through it
  4. Financial Modeling & Due Diligence
    1. Be able to quickly develop a comprehensive financial model for acquisitions and understand the key variables to the structuring of a successful transaction
    2. Lead acquisitions evaluations to ensure a thorough analysis of the situation
  5. Integration
    1. Play a significant role in acquisition integration to achieve forecasted IRRs
    2. Manage and improve on the level of performance interaction between the Business Units and Finance identifying areas where revenue can be enhanced or costs reduced
    3. Be actively involved in Initiatives to improve the Business Units or Departments
  6. Coaching
    1. Select, develop and motivate staff in order to build a team that are the primary source of information for the Company and also a great source of future leaders
    2. Work with other high potential employees to education and grow our leaders

 

IDEAL EXPERIENCE WOULD BE:

  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a Corporate Development role with many deals closing while in a leading role
  • Experience with Financial audit and corporate restructuring
  • Existing relationships with Investment Bankers throughout North and South America
  • Having lead mid-sized teams through an ongoing prospecting and outbound contact management program
  • MBA from leading school, prior Analyst positions at Investment Banks with practices in key technology industries
