GENERAL MANAGER – Growing Software Company – Miami, FL

Emphasys Software is seeking a General Manager to lead one of our growing divisions in Miami, FL. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to step up to a General Manager role, and lead one of our divisions that is really primed for growth. We’re looking for an exceptional individual – someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, who can foster the growth of existing products, and innovate and lead the development of new products.



The General Manager will work closely with the CEO as a member of the Emphasys Senior Management team to pursue new opportunities for business growth, adopt measurable improvements within the organization, and promote a positive corporate culture.


The General Manager will lead all teams across the division and have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Operations: Applying best practices, supervise all aspects of the business, including development, sales and marketing, services and project management. Develop metrics to maximize efficiency and boost performance, and regularly evaluate success of initiatives.
  • Sales and Marketing: Champion all sales and marketing efforts in the division. Participate in sales initiatives as needed.
  • Product Management: Innovate and design new software products. Lead the product life cycle from inception to delivery and service.
  • Financial Management: Manage the division’s strategic planning and budgeting with the primary goal of optimizing net income and increasing revenue.
  • Team Building/Coaching: Recruit and develop best-in-class team members to nurture and retain the company’s future leaders. Create collaborative and focused teams, and mentor team members to boost engagement as well as personal and career development.
  • Business Growth: Set and achieve business growth targets. Aggressively evaluate the market with an eye to growth and potential acquisitions, and participate in acquisition evaluations.
  • Client Relationships: Actively engage clients and manage end-to-end client experience in order to provide world-class customer service.



  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA degree preferred.
  • Significant management experience in a software company, preferably in a vertical market environment, with a proven record of success.
  • Sales and/or marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Software product management experience.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and people skills.
  • Best-in-class leadership skills with demonstrated success developing and engaging a top-notch team.
  • Experience cultivating and managing positive and successful client relationships.
